Many patients are referred to us from their primary care and family practice offices as well as foot and ankle physicians and other physician specialists around the tri-state to treat complex adult, pediatric, diabetic and infectious foot and ankle disorders and deformities. Joining the Foot and Ankle Specialists in 2002, Dr. Rizzo has helped to cultivate a strong hospital-based and a surgical based approach to the treatment of the lower extremity. In addition, Dr. Rizzo currently serves as a Partner of Foot and Ankle Specialists. Dr. Rizzo is also Co-Founder and Chairman of the American Orthoplastic Microsurgical Society (AMOS). This surgical society is responsible for national and international collaboration and development in the field of limb reconstructive surgery. Dr. Rizzo is also the Founder and Director of the Cincinnati Lower Extremity Reconstructive Institute which collaborates with local, regional and national medical professionals to advance limb salvage and reconstruction. Dr. Rizzo currently serves as Research Director of the TriHealth Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency. Dr Rizzo is active in his local Professional Podiatric Academy, serving as past President and current treasurer and secretary. Dr. Rizzo is very active with the podiatric surgical residency community, serving as surgical attending for podiatric surgical residents within the Mercy Hospital system and the TriHealth Hospital System. Dr. Rizzo has been actively involved in the national and international lecturing circuit for his surgical development and research. Additionally, Dr. Rizzo has long been involved with research and development of orthopedic devices and hardware. 
Dr. Rizzo enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, boating and the Automotive World.

Joining the Foot and Ankle specialists’ team in 2006, Dr. Ash serves the Blue Ash and Cheviot offices in addition to the Christ Hospital Wound Care Center. She teaches as faculty for the Jewish Hospital Podiatric Medical/Surgical residency program. She enjoys spending time with family, the culinary arts and literature in her free time.

Todd C. Loftus, DPM

Dr. Todd Loftus is an Ohio native, having completed his education at Miami University, Ohio State University and Podiatry training in Cleveland with a three year Surgical residency in Salt Lake City, Utah. He serves as the immediate past President of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association.
Dr. Todd as he likes to be called, brings 12 years of wound care and injury prevention experience to Foot and Ankle Specialists with special interests in Diabetic Wound Prevention, Fall Prevention, and Sports Injury. He sees patients in our Blue Ash, Cheviot and Middletown offices.
Dr. Todd enjoys home remodeling, antique refinishing, home audio and theater and spending time with family.

Joining the Foot and Ankle specialists’ team in 2013, Dr. Petre serves the Blue Ash and Cheviot offices. He is on staff at several local hospitals with a majority of that time at Mercy West hospital where he sees patients both inpatient and at the West wound care center. In addition to these responsibilities he is a member of the faculty for two area residency programs working with the residents of The Jewish Hospital and the Tri-health Podiatric residency programs. In his free time Dr. Petre enjoys spending his time with his wife and 2 boys hiking, biking and exploring all the other outdoor activities around the greater Cincinnati area.

Dr. Cary Copeland is the founding member of Foot and Ankle Specialists. Dr. Copeland’s vision has always been to bring together highly skilled podiatric surgeons, who share a commitment to educating the next generation of surgeons into one group to provide the best foot and ankle care in the tri-state region. Dr. Copeland founded the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department at the University of Cincinnati in 2007 and the Medical/Surgical Residency Program in 2010. During this time, Dr. Copeland served as the Department Director for Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from 2007 until 2017 and served as the Residency Director since its inception of 2010 until 2017. Dr. Copeland also served as the Residency Director of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati from 1994-2014. For over two decades, Dr. Copeland has trained the next generation of podiatric surgeons. In semi-retirement, Dr. Copeland enjoys boating, working out and plays the saxophone in three local jazz ensembles.
